It was designed by Bruce Schneier in 1993. Since then it has been analyzed considerably, and it is slowly gaining acceptance as a strong encryption algorithm. Blowfish is license-free and is available free for all uses. It is also a symmetric block cipher that can be used as a drop-in replacement for DES or IDEA. It takes a variable-length key, from 32 bits to 448 bits, making it ideal for both domestic and exportable use. Blowfish is also one of the fastest block ciphers in public use, making it ideal for a product that functions on a wide variety of processors found in mobile phones as well as in notebook and desktop computers. Blowfish is suitable for application where the key does not change frequently, like a communication link or an automatic file encryp tor. It is significantly faster than most encryption algorithm when on 32-bit microprocessor with large data caches. It was inented by Horst Fiestel and has been used in many block chiper designed. The diagram below shows the action of Blowfish. Each line represents 32 bits. The algorithm keeps two subkey arrays: the 18-entry P-array and four 256-entry S-boxes. The S-boxes accept 8-bit input and produce 32-bit output. One entry of the P-array is used every round, and after the final round, each half of the data block is XORed with one of the two remaining unused P-entries. The diagram to the right shows Blowfish’s F-function. The function splits the 32-bit input into four eight-bit quarters, and uses the quarters as input to the S-boxes. The outputs are added modulo 232 and XORed to produce the final 32-bit output. Since Blowfish is a Feistel network, it can be inverted simply by XO7Ring P17 and P18 to the cipher text block, then using the P-entries in reverse order. Blowfish’s algorithm initialize with the P-array and S-boxes. The secret key is then XORed with the P-entries in order and then use the same method to encrypt all the zero string. The consequential ciphertext replaces P1 and P2 then encrypt the new P1 and P2 with the modified subkeys. Now the output is P3 and P4. Altogether Blowfish algorithm will repeat 521 times in order to calculate new subkeys for the P-array and the four S-boxes. It is about 4KB data is processed.

Bio-Ethics The issue of bio-ethics presents a myriad of new dilemmas; all of which have arisen in the recent past, and must be addressed in the near future. The majority of these questions stem from the introduction of new, genetically-engineered organisms. These organisms, or at least many of them, are created in laboratories, by gene splicing, swapping, etc. and essentially, these scientists are playing god, creating biological entities as they want them. This is the main source of the controversy. In more developed countries where genetically engineered disputes may ensue, the trend is total protection through patents and other regulatory and monitoring agencies. These problems come about from identification of the new bio-engineered organisms, and this approach allows the industries and entrepreneurs to recover the enormous costs involved in the research and development of genetic engineering. It promotes the development of products to benefit society, and it allows access for a larger genetic bank for analyses, experimentation, and investigation. There is a second side to this coin-it means that the researchers can assert an excessive price to their ‘product' while eliminating any competition for a given period of time. It allows for copies of living things to be made easily and inexpensively. This happens outside the United States, where strict regulations are not in continuity with those pirating compact discs in Japan, bottling Coca Cola in India, etc. No countries spend any monetary amount comparable to the over 300 million dollars to run the patent and trademark office, as the U.S. does. Another observation can be made that because of the time involved and the cost that the free flow of information is inhibited between researchers. These arguments all take place under the umbrella that "Life forces can be controlled by ownership." Many countries take the view that these genetic products are not intellectual property, and as such, not subject to the conventional patent laws. These properties should not be protected and belong to society as much as any organism which has naturally evolved through normal processes. GATT (General Agreement on Trade and Tariff) has attempted to address this issue through a larger commercial / trade package; however, this is a position in which very little agreement among parties is found.

According to this statement, all countries and regions therefore had the potential to excel and expand as the rest. Some of the reasons that led to the growth of the European region are therefore given in this boo and this forms the main basis of the material. The ancient society began alike in all places. History records that the early people all over the earth were hunters. Others later went on to establish agriculture and this was the beginning of their civilization. The Eurasian civilization grew faster than the Asian region because of environmental difference. The Asian people had very conducive geographical features and this made them develop very stable structures and so they lived in isolated empires. This early contentment made the Asian territories to stagnate when major shake ups in advancement were taking place. Europe on the other hand, had a lot of barriers and opposition. This demanded their creativity and innovation for them to survive. The natural barriers that existed in Europe also created competing nation states that were ever in pursuit for one another and before long, the European region found themselves advancing to greater levels of technology and science. Eurasians also developed better than the Americans because of food security. The Europeans had a lot of meat, cheese, corn among other assortment of food which provided a lot of food to the energetic minds. America on the other hand only had corn. This meant that they had little energy giving food and this later compromised on their growth. The climate of Europe was good and ideally favored the growth of many crops. This led to the growth of many food crops that were used by the Europeans who were in the outer regions during the conquest of territories. They easily defeated their enemies and rivals because they were strong and healthy. This advantage actually comes all the way from the good climate in Europe. This gave the Eurasians advantage over the Africans and so easily defeated them in colonization. Guns, Germs and Steel is one book in which the topic sounds like a summary of the real issues that are illustrated in the book. The use guns resulted to colonization of many regions by the Europeans. I. Introduction The Housing Authority was created to provide safe and sanitary housing for low income families. The position of an area clerk is to provide administrative support to the property manager and maintenance staff so that their focus would be on the development and the residents. The lack of maintenance professions motivation and effort to complete work assignments efficiently has caused issues in our developments. Public housing was established through the U.S. Housing Act of 1937 to provide decent and safe rental housing for eligible low-income families, the elderly, and persons with disabilities. Public housing comes in all sizes and types, from scattered single family houses to high-rise apartments for elderly families. There are approximately 1.3 million households living in public housing units, managed by some 3,300 HAs. The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) administers Federal aid to local housing agencies (HAs) that manage the housing for low-income residents at rents they can afford. HUD furnishes technical and professional assistance in planning, developing and managing these developments. II. How can we motivate our Maintenance professionals? Maintenance professionals are not completing their assignments efficiently. They are not organized and detailed when handing in work orders. They are employee recognition programs, Incentive programs, and Weekly team meetings. We chose to use Employee recognition programs to further motivate our maintenance professionals. We will implement an employee newsletter stating the employees that are receiving recognition for efforts about the job. Also, there will be award ceremonies where employees will be given awards for the best development or most improved development. VI. Reflection An organization can only develop a group if their team of employees’ work hard. We all play a role in the organization. Everything is handled by maintenance they manage the site and now what is going on with our residents. They are ones outside dealing with everything without them we will have no source of the issues we face with our residents (crime, sub leasing, etc.) We should recognize their efforts and bring their morale up so that they could be motivated to do their job and we can work as a more cohesive team. I also have as a personal goal to remain healthy. That means eating healthy, nutritious meals, exercising appropriately, and getting enough rest so that my body can function properly. In obtaining my professional goals, I must first decide what I am interested in doing for a career. I need to research that career to see what skills, training, and education are required. It is also wise for me to see if this career is in demand and what the market demand will be for this career path for the next ten to fifteen years. Additionally, I should have an idea of how much money I can expect to make in this career and what kinds of opportunities exist for furthering my career. I also need to take into account where to receive the necessary training and education and how much it costs. Furthermore, I must determine how I will pay for this education. Of course I want to be happy, and so that is another goal. Even if I manage to make all the money that I desired, it would mean little to me if I was dissatisfied with my life in some way. I would not want to get into a career path that will serve all my other needs but leave me miserable. I would rather get into a career that may not pay much but that I find fulfilling in some way. If an individual does not see the value in what he does, he is inclined not to respect himself. That sense of unhappiness tends to spill over into other areas of his life, such as the treatment of coworkers, and even interactions with family members. So, with that in mind, one of my goals is to find a career that I enjoy and feel is worthwhile in some manner. Finally, another personal goal is to become a role model to as many people that I can, but especially to my children when I eventually have them. Since I was young, I have always had the urge to influence people in a positive manner and lead them in a positive, productive direction.
